The main thing is that you know I have support. So you don't need to worry if it's been a while before I feed from you, since I probably had one of them help me as well.

There are a lot of different varieties with all these souls. I guess it isn't surprising that some might be birds.

[That would be kind of amazing. To be able to maybe fly? Even just manipulating the World Formula enough to stand on the wall or ceiling has him nauseous. But. Well. All transformations would have their less desirable aspects, too.]

I don't know all of the possibilities, but mine is obvious even without the dream I had.

{Flying would be nice. He has experience flying without wings, so why not try it the more "natural" way?}

[Because, of course, the vampire just thinks of the potential. The positives. Things that wouldn't usually be possible if not for their transformations.]

There must be limits. Once I can, I will fly as high and as far as I can, but I suspect I will encounter a barrier.

A barrier? Like a dome? To stop us from escaping....maybe. I'm not sure it would be that simple, no.

They won't let us escape. Wings won't give us freedom, they have surely thought of that in our containment.

Maybe. We won't know unless we try. But probably, those who have been here longer have likely already attempted. It can't hurt to ask, to check. Just in case.

[He hasn't been here that long. But he wonders, figures there's a chance others might have attempted to flee by flying off. Not that he is sure where they would go. How they might get back home.]

The best he could manage is just being stubbornly determined and optimistic, and his ability as an Archiviste, to see memories of those he feeds from the first time.]

Yes. {And that, more than anything, is what Tantai Jin fears the most.} She has given me so many gifts. Without her, I would submit to him.

I don't have a wife or anything. But....I'd do anything for Domi. For Vanitas. I'd want to fight for them, too.

[He can at least admit that much. Because he has stepped in front of Vanitas enough times to protect the other from getting attacked or hurt. Taking the hit in his stead, given that he has his vampiric strength to be able to take it. And that Domi is a childhood friend, the only one left of the twins he so adored.]
